Initial inspection highlighted a number of rafters that required replacing with new 200x50mm timbers. Historic repairs to box gutter have failed, new lead including expansion joints to be installed. Chimney pots ready for installation, and new flaunching.
Rafters cleared of debris ready for insulation to be installed. Due to limited space within loft, 360 Roofing installed TLX Gold; a high performance 2-in-1 insulating breathable membrane. 33mm thick, 7 layer multi-foil to prevent heat loss and condensation within newly renovated North London Property. 50x25mm counter battens to ensure airflow.
Counter batten completed ready for loading and slating. Battens running vertical have been installed to ensure airflow between TLX Gold and slates.
All preparation work completed. Roof loaded and ready to be slated. Lead box gutter completed; with new 18mm WBP ply installed. Code 5 lead installed, including expansion joint where required and building paper beneath new lead.
Slates being laid using 38mm copper clouts as per manufacturers fixing specification. Slates to abutments are installed using 4x3" aluminium slate soakers. Eave course to top and bottom.
Spanish 500x250mm slates installed on a typical London property in North London. Including new code 5 lead to box gutter. New code 4 lead flashing installed to perimeter. Terminated using render stop bead, followed by scratch coat and layer of render. Works completed to chimney stacks.
